William Medcalf is a world leading authority in all aspects of vintage Bentleys and his name is synonymous with the marque. He has been surrounded by the brand his whole life, and has been working professionally with vintage Bentleys since 1994. He is personally involved with everything in the business, becoming a highly regarded stalwart of the vintage Bentley community. He can often be found with his sleeves rolled up working on an engine, organising events and taking part in numerous races all year round; preserving the cars, at all hours of the day and night if needs be. William’s passion for vintage Bentleys began at a young age: he first drove one at the age of 12, and enjoyed a tour of America with his mother, father and siblings aged just XXX, travelling XXX miles in a 19XX Bentley saloon. Since then he has driven hundreds of thousands of miles in these cars, all over the world and takes part in some of the most demanding races and rallies in testing conditions. He has won the famous Flying Scotsman rally on two occasions, and in 2010 he came second overall in perhaps the hardest event for vintage cars – the 8500 mile Peking to Paris. He continues to prepare cars for and take part in these events, and others such as the Le Mans Classic, the Alpine Trial, the Benjafield’s Racing Club Sprint and more. Our state of the art workshop is world-renowned for its rally preparation and car preservation. Vintage Bentley also offers the world’s most advanced parts supply for vintage Bentleys with in-house tooling and 3d cad design. To help you enjoy our Bentley we also arrange a full calendar of social events, races and rallying.
