Brooklands to Le Mans: Grande Parade des Pilotes

Friday saw the centenary celebrations continue for the 1924 Le Mans winning Bentley as she took part in the Grande Parade des Pilotes in Le Mans City Centre.

In true Le Mans spirit, the unpredictable weather did not deter spectators and the streets were lined with thousands of excited fans. As the 186 drivers of the 92nd Le Mans 24 Hours climbed into vintage and classic cars, the parade took to the streets marking the beginning of the race weekend proceedings. 

With confetti flying, flags waving, and crowds cheering, the city was alive with the buzz of the 24H and that was eveident to see when the Bentley took to the streets. Driven by Vintage Bentley founder William Medcalf, the Bentley 3 Litre Sport was greeted with cheers, smiles, and endless high fives for the entirity of the parade loop - her reptutaion proceeding her!

The parade marks the beginning of the race weekend, with racing beginning at 4pm on Saturday. The Bentley will be on the starting grid as part of the opening ceremony, marking the culmination of her centenary celebrations at Le Mans.
