W.O Bentley wins Hero-Era Peking to Paris Rally

The 1928 4 ½ Litre Bentley of Andy Buchan and Mike Sinclair has triumphed in the epic Peking to Paris rally.

Under blue skies, greeted by friends, family, and the Vintage Bentley team, the 4 ½ Litre crossed the finish line in Paris yesterday afternoon securing back-to-back wins of this epic adventure for W.O Bentleys.

Completing 14,500km across 9 countries, the Bentley took the win after a tough fought battle spanning the 37 days of racing across the world. From the sandy tracks of the Gobi Desert to the Lilo Arena Rally Cross circuit of Tbilisi, the Bentley took it in her stride and, with some fantastic driving from Andy and navigating from Mike, showed exactly what W.Os do best.

“The Bentley was the ideal choice for the Peking to Paris. She was precise, predictable, reliable, comfortable and tremendous fun. We climbed mountains, crossed deserts and transited large motorway sections.  Having been prepared by Vintage Bentley, it was great to have been able to phone in for their technical expertise a couple of times when the arduous conditions tested my knowledge.”

Andy Buchan, 2024 Peking to Paris Winner

Huge congratulations to Andy, Mike, their fellow competitors, and all at HERO-ERA for such a brilliant event.

The next edition of the Peking to Paris will take place in 2025 and, if anything like this year, promises to be a thrilling adventure!

Here’s to a well-earned rest for the crews and the cars!
