RM Sotheby's - The Age of Endeavour Collection
A unique selection of historically significant artefacts previously owned by Bentley Motors founder W.O Bentley, Bentley Boy Dr J.D Benjafield, and legendary draughtsman Frederick Tasker Burgess are set to go to auction in early November.
Announced by RM Sotheby's, The Age of Endeavour Collection has been assembled over the past quarter of a century by noted collector and Bentley 4.5-Litre Le Mans Team Car owner Dr Ian Andrews, representing not only the most successful period of British motorsport but the glory days of one of the country’s most storied marques.
This fascinating collection of Bentley memorabilia boasts 90 historically significant lots from the golden age of British motorsport. Highlights include W.O. Bentley’s personal Swiss-made stopwatch, his engraved BRDC membership badge, and the definitive Bentley registration number ‘WO 1’
Each lot is to be offered at entirely no reserve at The Peninsula London on 1st November 2024.
