Thrill on I.C.E!

Another incredible weekend at The I.C.E, St Moritz.

William and friend Ryck Turner travelled over 800 miles from the UK to St. Moritz in a 1928 4 ½ Litre Bentley which was presented as car 20 in the concours over the weekend in the mountains.  Whilst a spectacle in the concours, this pre-war Bentley continued to perform laps of the frozen lake whilst we taught some of our clients how to drive on ice.

This 1928 4 ½ Litre Le Mans is a true example of British motorsport heritage. In the 20s and 30s, Bentley Motors and the Bentley Boys reigned supreme, taking five wins at Le Mans as well as a plethora of world records at Brooklands and Monterey. Such victories helped establish Bentley as one of the most prestigious names in motoring, and their cars became synonymous with speed, endurance, and craftsmanship.

No serious car collection is complete without a vintage Bentley. This car, UC4751, has a storied history, having raced and rallied all over the world. Recently in the Benjafield's 24-hour endurance race in Portimão, where the car was driven by Turner, Moore, and Galliford. Covering an incredible 1,400 miles, UC4751 finished 4th overall, a testament to both the car's durability and the skill of its drivers.

Having returned back to England from St. Moritz this week, she is very much a driver’s car, even though she approaches her 100th Birthday.

It was great a fantastic weekend seeing many familiar faces and meeting many new friends too!

Many thanks to Ronnie Kessel, Marco Makaus and the brilliant team for a great event, yet again! We are already looking forward to returning next year.
