The first Bentley Motors Works Le Mans Team Car making it's return
Le Mans Classic 2025
The very first Bentley Motors Works Le Mans team car, MH7580, originally driven by Dudley Benjafield and Bertie Kensington-Moir, will return to Le Mans 100 years later, driven by our founder, William Medcalf. The 1925 3 litre Bentley made its racing debut at Le Mans on 20th June 1925, and will race again on 5th July 2025, marking its return on her centenary.
Sourced, prepared and raced by Vintage Bentley.
Le Mans Classic 2025 is set to take place from Thursday, July 3 to Sunday, July 6, at the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, France. This event celebrates the rich history of endurance racing, featuring over 700 race cars varying from the 1920s to the early 2000s, competing in era-based grids.
About Team Car No 10
Bentley Team Car No 10 was the marque’s first official Le Mans entry in 1925. At The Vintage Bentley Works, No 10 was fitted new with the first ever SuperSports engine.
Despite running strongly and hitting over 95 mph, a fuel miscalculation due to hood-up regulations led to the car running out of fuel before its first pit stop. Though the debut ended early, No 10 showed great promise and helped launch Bentley's Le Mans legacy.
Later used as a factory demonstrator and then in private ownership, it famously covered over 1,000 miles in 17 hours. Restored in 2001, by the Works, to its original 1925 spec with meticulous accuracy, No 10 has since competed at events such as Le Mans Classic and Benjafield's 24 Hour Race.
